Anzac Day - Poppies

C2 made poppies to commemorate Anzac Day. We learnt about John McCrae the author of Flanders Field, which was inspired when a friend of his was killed in battle in the 1st World War. The poppies grew freely around the battle grounds of Flanders Fields. They symbolise remembrance of the war and those who have fallen.

Purple Day - Supporting Epilepsy

On Monday the 26th of March it was Epilepsy Day. Our class decided to wear something purple to show awareness and support the cause. We have a student in our class who is affected by seizures and so we showed our support by wearing something purple to signify the day. The children dressed up in all kinds of purple attire as you can see in the photos. We even had PURPLE cupcakes and they were delicious!
